Dreams Come True
Imagination blended with quality. From rustic to colonial to contemporary-style homes, timber frame construction gives you the ultimate in choices and quality. You can build your original dream home with the longevity of proven techniques coupled with the modern advances of energy-efficient structural insulated walls, creative design and some of the most advanced engineering in the industry.
Building Techniques
Centuries old traditional at work. A timber frame home is a post-and-beam structure defined by a magnificent system of wooden framing members exposed to the interior. Timbers chosen by PineRidge have been individually inspected for the highest quality. In addition, sawmills are given specific requirements for the heart-sawn timbers used by PineRidge.
Energy Efficiency
Saving you money, giving you flexibility. The Energy-Star rated structural panels (SIPs) that are used to enclose and insulate your home consist of a core of rigid foam insulation laminated between interior and exterior sheathing materials. The panels can be used to build the conventional areas of the home without timbers and are code rated for structural use in all areas. This allows for high-energy efficiency and endless design possibilities. SIPs wrap the entire frame in a continuous blanket of insulation, providing year-round comfort.
Timber frame homes make sense. The strength and beauty of the home is exposed to the interior space, creating a warm and comfortable living environment. Greater design flexibility is made possible by using the timbers and structural panels as an integrated building system. The timber frame and SIPs arrive pre-cut and ready to assemble. This saves time and labor costs during construction.
Traditional Joinery — built to last.
Timbers are connected by pegged mortise and tenon joinery which is the best way to construct a durable and inherently beautiful framework. This type of joinery has been used for centuries, and there are hundreds of ancient timber frame structures around the world that stand in testimony to its strength.
We typically use Eastern white pine for our timber frames because of its beauty, but many other species of wood can be used to build each unique timber frame home, including oak, Douglas fir and reclaimed timbers. Each piece of timber is cut and finished in the workshop. The completed frame then arrives at the building site ready for quick assembly raising.

Client Testimonials

“We want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for all you’ve done. Our vacation home is under construction and all seems to be on schedule.
The frame raising was truly incredible. We were impressed to say the least. Katie loved watching and she thought it was cool to stand on the beam. David loved everything from the really ‘cool’ crane, having lunch with the crew and, of course, the placing of the penny. None of us will forget the pounding of the pegs. We now have bragging rights of helping to build the house. You were the person responsible for our memorable day.
You made the entire design phase run smoothly. Thanks for your ideas and suggestions. I know it’s going to be a great home. And to think that it all started with the three of us and a bubble diagram sketched at your home.”

“This letter serves as a recommendation for Michael Jamison of Jamison Builders. My husband and I contacted Mike while purchasing a lot and becoming interested in a post and beam, timber frame home. Mike consulted with us on appropriate designs for our lot and helped design a plan. Mike carried us through the design and planning process and obtained bids from potential sub-contractors. He did this in a friendly, professional manner, always with our wishes as the number one priority. Our home was completed to our great satisfaction.
The quality of the work is of the highest order, and the finished product beyond our expectations. Mike followed through with our project to the very end, finishing all the little jobs and acting as a liaison with sub-contractors.
We would highly recommend Mike as a builder and know anyone would be impressed with his honest, integrity and fairness at a time when these qualities don’t often prevail.”
